Microsoft Azure Infra Summit 2026

Microsoft is hosting the first ever Azure Infra Summit — a free, online event aimed squarely at the people who build, run, and optimize Azure infrastructure day in, day out.

Honestly, it’s great to see an event like this come to life. There are plenty of conferences that touch on Azure infrastructure as part of a broader agenda, but having a dedicated event at the 300-400 level, specifically for IT professionals, platform engineers, and SREs, feels overdue. The tagline says it well: “less fluff, more infrastructure.”

When May 19–21, 2026 — 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM Pacific Time (5:00 PM to 10:00 PM CET), all 3 days
Where Online, free
Level L300–400 (advanced)
Format Mix of live and pre-recorded sessions with live Q&A and daily AMAs
Register aka.ms/MAIS-Reg

The three days are structured around the lifecycle of Azure infrastructure:

Provisioning, architecture, automation, and Infrastructure as Code. Think resilient compute designs, secure network topologies, landing zones, and Bicep/Terraform patterns.

The day-2 operations side: monitoring, governance, patching, identity, and hybrid ops at scale. Expect sessions on Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, policy enforcement, and Azure Arc operations.

Performance tuning, cost management, reliability, and modernization. VM and container optimization, storage performance tuning — the kind of stuff that separates “it works” from “it works well.”

Detailed session titles and speakers haven’t been published yet, but the themes alone are promising. The focus on engineering-led sessions, real-world examples, and honest discussions about failure modes and operational tradeoffs is exactly what makes a technical event worth attending.

Finally something dedicated to Azure and for the people working on the platform.
No marketing, no “wouldn’t this be wonderful”, just actual sessions focussed on real-life work!
As the registration says “It’s built for the people who get paged at 2am” 😉

Registration is free: aka.ms/MAIS-Reg

See you there? 😊
