PSConfEU 2025 Session Videos Now Available on YouTube

Great news for everyone who missed PSConfEU 2025 or wants to revisit the sessions - the videos are now live on YouTube! I had the pleasure of presenting two sessions at this fantastic conference, and I’m excited to share them with the broader PowerShell community.

Ever found yourself stuck between the simplicity of low-code solutions that just can’t do what you need, and the complexity of high-code solutions that feel like overkill? This session explores that middle ground we’ve all been looking for!

I dive into the world of Azure Logic Apps and how they’ve evolved to bridge this gap with PowerShell integration. You’ll see how we can maintain all the visual niceness and easy tracking that Logic Apps provide, while unleashing the full power of PowerShell for automation tasks.

The session covers:

  • Classical Azure Logic Apps (low-code) and their limitations
  • Azure Functions (high-code) and when they might be too much
  • The sweet spot: Logic App integration for PowerShell
  • How to create powerful automations that your manager can actually understand!

This one’s perfect if you’re looking for that “just right” solution for your automation needs.

This was originally planned as a collaboration with Jakub Jares, but unfortunately illness kept him from attending. Thankfully, the amazing Rob Sewell stepped in to help me present this 1½ hour hands-on workshop, and we had an absolute blast!

This beginner-friendly session takes you from zero to hero with Pester testing. We start with existing code that has no tests whatsoever and work our way up to fully tested, CI/CD-ready code.

What you’ll learn:

  • Writing your first Pester tests from scratch
  • Understanding basic function shapes and how to test them
  • Creating both unit and integration tests
  • Maintaining code coverage above 75%
  • Building tests into your CI/CD pipeline

The best part? Everything we cover is designed to be immediately applicable to your real-world projects. No abstract examples here - just practical knowledge you can use right away.

Both sessions tackle common challenges we face as PowerShell practitioners. Whether you’re trying to find the right level of complexity for your automation solutions or wanting to improve the reliability of your code through testing, these sessions provide practical answers.

The conference energy was fantastic, and I hope that comes through in the recordings. Big thanks to everyone who attended, asked great questions, and made these sessions interactive and fun!

Head over to YouTube and check them out. Whether you’re new to these topics or looking to deepen your understanding, I think you’ll find value in both sessions.

And if you watch them, I’d love to hear your thoughts! Feel free to reach out with questions, feedback, or just to let me know how you’re applying what you learned in your own environment.

Happy learning! 🎉
